I have always had an interest in people, how we are all different, and what contributes to these differences. My academic experience within the field of Psychology spans over twenty years. I have extensive vocational experience, having worked in schools with children and young people with severe and complex learning needs and adults, children and young people living with the effects of substance dependence.
More recently I have worked with a wide variety of presentations and diagnoses from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. I work on a short, medium, or long-term basis, depending on need. My specialism is Transactional Analysis.
Training and Qualifications
I have completed four years Advanced Clinical Training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. Prior to this I completed a Certificate in Counselling Skills and hold an undergraduate honours degree in Psychology and a Master of Science Degree in the field of Applied Psychology of Learning Disabilities. Additionally, I have attended extensive continued professional development in the therapeutic arena of trauma, and work from a trauma informed model.
