Julie-Ann Clarke

UKCP Registered Psychotherapist

BA Hons, ITEC

My practice is anchored by professional experience working as a counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Support, as well as providing dedicated psychotherapeutic care for Macmillan Cancer Support. Across my four years as a university therapist and private practitioner, I have been privileged to support individuals at various stages of their gender transition journeys.

As a Psychotherapist and counsellor, I work using various models and techniques collaboratively, on a short, medium or long-term basis depending on the client’s need. My specialism is Relational Transactional Analysis, working with people navigating complex grief, oncology/cancer impact, gender identity, and neurodivergent processing styles. I work collaboratively, and as the therapist, bringing insight and expertise, but the client is the expert on their own lived experience.

At the core of my practice is the belief that everyone has inherent worth and the capacity for growth and positive change. Together, we will explore your "Life Script," the unconscious blueprints and survival strategies formed in early life that may now be causing patterns of anxiety, restriction, or distress in your adult world. Bringing these hidden patterns into conscious awareness offers the opportunity to rewrite your story and discover more liberating choices for your life ahead. I work alongside you with warmth, transparency and equality, providing a structured yet deeply supportive environment.

I accept major private healthcare insurance referrals (including AXA Health and Aviva) and offer dedicated concessionary rates for student therapists
